These two security gates were part of a redevelopment of a bus station for Translink that we were involved in through the main contractor.
This station in the Short Strand, in Belfast, had a requirement for two very special gates, one swing and one sliding gate. These are two of the biggest gates that can be seen in Northern Ireland .
The sliding gate is 5m high and 45m long! For transport reasons, it had to be made in 3 sections and joined together on site. Both gates are automated with specially sourced heavy duty kits to cope with the high demand placed on the automation.
Translink’s corporate logo was also included in the design of the gates.
In addition to a wide variety of designs most railings are also available in a variety of shapes and bespoke products- from the simple flat top design, through archways to upward and downward curves.
